Snagsta

Community Guide

We want Snagsta to be a place that people come to use the extensive knowledge of their friends, peers and like-minded members to help find things they'll like but haven't heard of already.

To do this, we need to think of ourselves as a community and as with all Internet communities, we need to set out some guidelines so that everyone plays nicely.

Lists

Although we hope to have lists on every subject, please try to be respectful and discerning when creating your lists. Stay away from obviously incendiary topics (keep those for your own blogs!). These might include anything concerning illegal activity or hate speech (such as speech which demeans a group based on their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation).

When creating a list, try to remember that one of the reasons you are doing this for is to help your friends, so keep the content useful.

Be careful what you post. Your list may be read by a lot of people so take care not to post anything misleading.

Don't use the site to post spam. Lists are not supposed to be used to sell your products.

Use the list tags correctly to help identify the content of your list.

Remember that there are members as young as 13 years old on the site. If you don't think your list is suitable for a young audience, limit it's exposure to just your friends.

Have fun with your lists!

Comments

The comments on each list are for you to add value to a list. That means no venting, hate speech, insults or threats.

Try to keep comments interesting, and that means of interest to the whole community.

Privacy

Snagsta will not tolerate any attempt to invade a member's privacy, including behaviour that might be considered stalking, harassment or threatening.

Snagsta will be more useful if the people in your circle of friends are genuine friends you have things in common with. Adding friends with tenuous connections to you will only make your results less useful.

Don't share your password with anyone. Goes without saying really, except that we have said it now.

Copyright

See the Terms & Conditions for more specific direction.

Help us monitor the community - contact us if you see anything that you think violates these guidelines.

The Snagsta community can be a powerful tool to help you find things you otherwise might never have heard of, but "with great power comes great responsibility".

The bottom line - use your common sense.
